MDF Factories Suspend Production Ahead of 2026 Spring Festival

As the 2026 Spring Festival approaches, most medium density fiberboard (MDF) manufacturing plants across major production areas have announced temporary production halts. Factories are wrapping up annual orders, conducting full equipment maintenance, and preparing for the long holiday break, during which most frontline workers return to their hometowns for family reunions.
The suspension mainly affects hot pressing, sanding, cutting, and finished product warehousing. Most plants have stopped accepting new urgent orders to ensure on-schedule delivery of existing contracts. Normal production is expected to resume about 10–15 days after the Spring Festival, depending on worker return and equipment restart schedules.
This seasonal shutdown has led to tighter short-term supply in the MDF market. Customers and distributors are strongly advised to confirm inventory and arrange orders in advance to avoid delivery delays. Factories will keep partners updated on the exact resumption date and gradually restore capacity to meet post-holiday demand.
